Blogoversary!

It has been one year since I started this blog!
If you want to check out my very first post, here it is.
So funny to look back at the things I used to blog about on my old blog.

This blog has brought so many new things to my life.
I have made new friends and found new hobbies.
This blog has helped me get involved with volunteering with the Natural Parents Network, which has been a great opportunity in my life. I've learned so many new things about natural, gentle parenting through them, as well as through reading the blogs of other NPN volunteers and followers.
It's so interesting how blogging creates a community of friends.
I love keeping up on the lives of my fellow blogging mommies and their little ones.
This blog also serves as a digital baby book, recording the day to day events in our family.
I can look back and see when Burkley learned new things and had various experiences.
It's a place I can write and share my thoughts on the things I try out as I learn to be the mom I want to be.
Because of the links I have there on the sidebar, I've learned many new things by clicking around and being led from one thing to another.
I've learned new tips and techniques on everything from nursing, to elimination communication, and from unschooling to discipline. While I won't be using ALL of these tips, the resources are there for me to read, ponder, and using discernment, try out. It's always enlightening to learn new things.

I'm so thankful for all of you who read, comment on, "follow," and "like" this blog. I'm glad you are in my life and that we are in yours. :)
